Who we are
Seedcast is a suite of WordPress plugins and services built for churches, operated by SiteHatchery, Inc. This policy applies whenever you visit seedcast.ai, install one of our WordPress plugins, purchase or use Sermon Library AI, use Sower, or otherwise interact with our products.
Information we collect
Information you give us directly
- Contact and waitlist forms. If you fill out our contact form, we collect your name (optional), email address, and message. If you join a waitlist, we collect your email address and which plan or product you're interested in.
- Account and purchase information. If you purchase Sermon Library AI or another paid product, checkout is handled by Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor. We receive your email address, purchase details, and subscription status from Lemon Squeezy. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
- Content you upload to our plugins. If you use Sermon Library, Sunday, Praise Report, Sing, or Sower, we process the content you provide in order to deliver the service: sermon recordings (audio or video), transcripts, sermon text and metadata (titles, scripture references, speakers, series, dates), photos, and other ministry content you choose to upload or generate.
- Congregation-submitted content. Some plugins (for example, Praise Report) let members of your congregation submit testimonies or prayer requests directly. That content is collected on your behalf and is under your church's control; we process it as a service provider to your church, not as an independent data controller of your congregation's information.
Information from Google and YouTube
Sermon Library can connect to a YouTube account you authorize, using Google's OAuth sign-in, so it can import content for videos you own. When you connect a YouTube account:
- We read the caption or transcript track of videos owned by the YouTube channel you connect. We also read publicly available information about those videos, such as the title and thumbnail, which requires no access to your account.
- We use this data solely to import a transcript into the matching sermon on your Sermon Library site, so it can be turned into searchable content, an article, and a study guide, at your direction.
- We do not access videos or channels you do not own or have not explicitly authorized.
- We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
- We do not share Google user data with third parties except the service providers described below, and only as needed to operate the feature (for example, temporary processing during transcript generation).
- You can disconnect your Google account at any time from your Sermon Library settings, which revokes our access going forward.
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics on seedcast.ai to understand how visitors use our site (pages visited, general location, device type). This does not include content you upload to your own WordPress plugin installation.
- Captcha verification. Forms on our site use Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA may collect hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and send it to Google.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve our website and plugins
- To generate transcripts, articles, study guides, and related content from material you provide (including via Sower)
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To respond to contact form messages and send waitlist/launch notifications you've requested
- To detect, prevent, and address spam, abuse, or security issues
- To comply with legal obligations
Third-party service providers
We use the following service providers to operate Seedcast. Each processes data only as needed to provide their specific service to us:
- Brevo — transactional email delivery (contact form and waitlist notifications)
- Lemon Squeezy — payment processing and subscription management
- Cloudflare R2 — storage for uploaded media (audio, video, images)
- Google (YouTube Data API, Google Analytics, reCAPTCHA) — as described above
- AI processing providers (including OpenAI and Whisper-based transcription) — used to generate transcripts, articles, and study guides from content you provide
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Data retention
We retain content you upload for as long as your plugin subscription or account is active, or as needed to provide the service. Uploaded source recordings used for transcript generation are processed and then handled according to our storage lifecycle policies; generated content (transcripts, articles, study guides) is retained as part of your sermon records until you delete it or your account is closed. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
Data security
We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls on our storage and processing systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. Church administrators can also manage or delete most content directly within their WordPress admin dashboard.
Children's privacy
Our products are intended for use by church staff, volunteers, and adult members of a congregation. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
