Getting Started

Installation

Install Sermon Library on your WordPress site in about five minutes. There are two ways to install it — through WordPress directly, or by uploading the plugin file.

Option 1 — Install from WordPress (recommended)

This is the easiest method and works for most sites.

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard. The address is usually yoursite.com/wp-admin.

  2. In the left menu, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.

  3. In the search box, type Sermon Library.

  4. Find the Sermon Library plugin by Seedcast and click Install Now.

  5. Once it finishes installing, click Activate.

  6. You should now see a SermonFlow menu item in the left sidebar. The plugin is installed.

Option 2 — Upload the zip file

Use this method if you downloaded the plugin file directly from Seedcast.ai.

  1. Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin in your WordPress admin.

  2. Click the Upload Plugin button near the top of the page.

  3. Click Choose File and select the sermon-library.zip file you downloaded.

  4. Click Install Now, then Activate Plugin.

Required: Save your permalink settings

After activating, you must do this one step or your sermon pages will show a "Page not found" error.

  1. Go to Settings → Permalinks in your WordPress admin.

  2. Without changing anything, click Save Changes.

If your site is set to use "Plain" permalinks (Settings → Permalinks → Plain), Sermon Library won't work correctly. Choose Post name instead — it's the best option for most sites.

What gets installed

When you activate Sermon Library, it quietly sets up the following on your site:

  • A Sermons content type for your sermon posts
  • A Series content type for grouping sermons
  • A Speakers content type for speaker profiles
  • A Topics category system for tagging sermons
  • A SermonFlow menu in your admin sidebar

None of this affects your existing pages, posts, or other content.
