Sermon Library Documentation

Everything you need to set up and manage your church's sermon library on WordPress. No technical experience required.

What is Sermon Library?

Sermon Library is a free WordPress plugin that turns your church website into a fully organized sermon archive. Visitors can find sermons by series, speaker, topic, or Bible passage. You can add video, audio, transcripts, study guides, and downloadable notes — all in one place.

New to WordPress? These docs assume you can log in to your WordPress admin dashboard. If you're not sure how, ask whoever manages your website.

What you can do with Sermon Library

  • Organize sermons into series with images and descriptions
  • Create speaker profiles with photos, bios, and contact info
  • Link every sermon to scripture passages that open in Bible.com or BibleGateway
  • Embed YouTube, Vimeo, or uploaded video directly on each sermon page
  • Add audio — upload an MP3 or link to your podcast episode
  • Attach downloadable files — sermon notes, bulletins, study handouts
  • Publish a podcast RSS feed for Apple Podcasts and Spotify
  • Add written articles, Bible study guides, and transcripts per sermon
  • Let visitors filter and search your entire sermon archive
